Code Ninjas

Overview

I worked for Code Ninjas-Chanhassen as a Code Sensei on and off for 2 years. During this time, I got to teach a lot of kids how to code while also building up my own skillset. To this day, I believe my time at Code Ninjas was fundamental to my current problem solving and debugging skills.

I did many things as a Code Sensei, but I primarily assisted students on their projects in Scratch, Java Script, Roblox, and the Unity Game Engine. I also assisted & led a couple summer camps including Game Design camp, Minecraft camp, and Among Us Camp.

Accomplishments

  • Designed and taught my own course on Game Development to young students

  • Helped spread the joy of game development to the next generation of students, something I hope to continue doing for years to come

What I did

  • Guided kids through the process of coding their own games and helped them when they encountered problems

  • Developed a clear understanding of computer science skills and strengthened my knowledge with Unity, Roblox Studio, JavaScript, and Scratch.

​

  • Personally designed and led a Game Design 101 summer camp where I taught the fundamentals of game loops, clear goals, polish, and iterative development.
